Pumptech Industrial Power and Control Ltd was formed in February 2009 by Tim Sharratt, Stephen Columbus and Chris Tubb, Collectively we have almost 50 years of experience between us in Industrial Automation, Process Control and Instrumentation.
Additionally to the QLDC waters work we are installing pump control systems for irrigation pivots. New installs and upgrades of freshwater and wastewater pump stations in the Queenstown area were recently completed. A latest project was the installation of UV filtration system in Arrowtown.

Capability
Since 2009 we maintain all of the QLDC freshwater and wastewater pump stations as subcontractors to Veolia Water and previously LCS Delta. It covers power, control, instrumentation and SCADA systems maintenance and repairs. We also provide mechanical services where required, replacing motors, motor bearings, lifting and installing bore pumps etc.
We are very experienced with all aspects of the water system in the Queenstown Lakes District.
Plant & Resources
We are a team of 6 experienced field technicians with the relevant electrical qualifications and confined space training. We log jobs electronically and have outsourced the office administration and invoicing to professional bookkeepers.
We hold all hardware and plant required to complete electrical, mechanical and instrumentation maintenance and installation testing and certification.
Our liability and professional indemnity insurance is $5,000,000. We have a health & safety manual & procedures, records of hazards, incidents and accidents are logged online. We are service agents for Danfoss and Schneider who supply QLDC’s most common VSD’s. All makes and models of VSD’s can be serviced by us.
